Refunds will not be issued for tours -- no exceptions.
Therefore, we recommend travel insurance which is now being offered through our partner, Trip Mate. You may use this link to get a quote or to purchase the insurance.
As a reminder, the deposits on multi-day tours are non-refundable.
If it becomes necessary for Martz Travel to cancel a tour, the full price will be refunded. You have the option of receiving a refund in the form of a gift certificate that may be redeemed for a future Martz Tour.
ACCESSIBILITY
If you require special assistance getting on or off the bus, or if you are bringing a wheelchair or scooter, please make note of it in the Comments section when making your reservation.
WALKABILITY
There is moderate walking involved in this tour. The bus will transport you to each venue and drop you off as close to the entrance as possible.
The tours within the museums and venues are walking tours.
The foodie tour is a slow walking tour.
HOTEL INFO
Drury Plaza Hotel Pittsburgh Downtown is in the heart of the downtown and is a historic renovation of the Federal Reserve Bank Building. The hotel has an indoor pool and whirlpool, 24-hour fitness center and bar.
The 4th District on the hotel mezzanine serves casual meals and drinks until midnight Monday through Saturday.
VENUE INFO
Phipps Conservatory and Botanic Gardens is an oasis in the middle of Pittsburgh's Oakland neighborhood and has been providing a world-class garden experience since 1893. Explore the 15 acres including a 14-room glass house and 23 gardens.
Enjoy an industrial tour at Carrie Blast Furnaces National Historic Landmark in Swissvale. Built in 1884, the furnaces were operational until 1982.
Known as the "people museum," the Sen. Heinz History Center interprets the history of western Pennsylvanians through six floors of interactive exhibitions. Look for the TV set from "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" and the world's oldest jeep.
Molly's Trolleys will take us on the "All About the Burgh: The Culture to Ketchup Tour," a guided, 90-minute historical tour through popular areas of the city including Downtown, North Shore and a one-way ride up the Duquesne Incline to Mount Washington.
Allegheny Observatory is one of the major astronomical research institutions in the world. You'll enjoy a short presentation followed by a narrated tour of the building. If the sky is clear, you may get an up-close look at some celestial objects.
Burgh Bits & Bites is a foodie walking tour that offers samples of foods from many regions -- from pita at a Mediterranean bakery to biscuits from one of the city's top-rated restaurants. This is a very slow walking tour with breaks for bites.
The 60-minute tour of Carnegie Museum of Natural History explores fossils, artifacts and specimens and relates stories about the history, collections and research that make this museum unique.
The Nationality Rooms at the Cathedral of Learning on the University of Pittsburgh campus transports visitors to a setting rich with cultural and ethnic heritage. The 31 rooms tells the story of Pittsburgh's diverse communities.

Church Brew Works serves appetizers, soups and salads, entrees and sandwiches topped off with the venue's own craft beer.
