About this trip

Here’s the perfect post-holiday getaway for everyone who just doesn’t want to let go of the Christmas spirit: An overnight jaunt to the beautiful Brandywine Valley.
Centerpiece of the tour is an evening at Longwood Gardens where you’ll experience Christmas as only Longwood can do it. Longwood Gardens offers breathtaking displays of seasonal flowers and landscapes throughout the year but at Christmas, it becomes absolutely magical. There isn’t another light show quite like it with its 500,000 Christmas lights on 124 trees.
Worried about the cold? Longwood’s four acres of heated conservatories were made so visitors can walk throughout the gardens in comfort.
We’ll also stop at Winterthur Gardens, former home of Henry Francis du Pont. Enjoy this one-of-a-kind holiday experience includes displays inspired by the traditions and festivities of the season as enjoyed by the du Pont family.

We've added a stop at the Brandywine Museum of Art.
Two meals are included: a buffet dinner on Friday and Saturday morning breakfast at Mendenhall Inn.
As we head home, we’ll make a shopping stop at Philadelphia Premium Outlets.

VENUE INFO

Longwood Gardens is a wonderful treat throughout the year but comes alive in a magical way every Christmas season. Wander the paths outside through hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights. Warm your hands and your heart inside the conservatories and marvel at the beauty of the displays.

Winterthur Museum & Gardens is an American estate and museum in Winterthur, Del., and houses one of the richest collections of Americana in the United States. The museum and estate were the home of Henry Francis du Pont, Winterthur's founder and a prominent antiques collector and horticulturist.

We've added a visit to the Brandywine Museum of Art to this year's Longwood Christmas tour. This facility is dedicated to regional and American art and showcases the work of Andrew Wyeth, a major American realist painter, and his family.

We are staying at the quaint Mendenhall Inn where you will enjoy a buffet on Friday evening before heading out to Longwood Gardens, and breakfast the next morning. There is a cozy bar inside the inn.

Philadelphia Premium Outlets offers shopping for all tastes at outlet prices -- from Aeropostale to Zumiez and many stores in between including Crocs, The North Face, Old Navy and Hot Topic.

While we try our best to accommodate all requests, we cannot guarantee you will be assigned the seat of your choice.
