The first night will be our stopover at Hampton Inn & Suites Roanoke Airport which has an indoor pool and fitness center.
On Monday, we will check in to Hampton Inn & Suites Asheville Biltmore Village which features a fitness center and indoor pool. This is a two-night stay.
We will stay at Drury Inn & Suites, Pigeon Forge, on Wednesday and Thursday nights. There is an indoor pool and splash pad and a 24-hour fitness center.
As we head toward home, our last night will be spent at Holiday Inn SE Historic Gateway, Winchester, Va., with its indoor pool and fitness center.
You may request a room with two beds and we will pass it on to the hotels but since they are limited, we cannot guarantee that you will be assigned a room with two beds. VENUE INFO
The Virginia Museum of Transportation takes you through the history of the state's travel and includes galleries focused on cars, planes and trains.
Our trolley tour of historic Asheville takes us through this city in western North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains. It is known for its vibrant arts scene, historic architecture and the iconic dome-topped Basilica of St. Lawrence.
Biltmore House is George Vanderbilt's 250-room French chateau with three grand floors and the once-bustling basement of America's largest home. It's considered an architectural marvel and national treasure. The grounds and gardens are a must-see, too.
Our driving tour of Newfound Gap takes us up the scenic mountain around the famous loop with a stop at the Tennessee/North Carolina state line. There will be photo opportunities at the peak with its elevation of 5,048 feet.
You'll enter a world of whimsy and will discover treetop aedvenures, a lush botanical garden, nighttime experiences, shopping and dining all at Anakeesta. This high-quality, outdoor experience is a must attraction in Gatlinburg. Afterwards you'll make your way back down the mountain on either a Chondola, a ski lift, or the Ridge Rambler, a truck-like trolley designed for the less adventurous.
Truth Traveler is a groundbreaking 5-D virtual reality experience that takes guests on an immersive journey through pivotal moments in biblical history from Creation to Resurrection.
The Island at Pigeon Forge is a 23-acre entertainment complex situated at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. A centerpiece of this attraction is the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel; you'll have tickets to ride it.
Take a step back into time and into the opulent passenger ship with its Grand Staircase and more than 400 personal and private artifacts at the Titanic Museum. Touch a real iceberg, try to maneuver the sloping decks and learn what it was like as the boat met her fate more than 100 years ago.
Celebrate the wonder of the changing seasons at Dollywood where the annual harvest festival will be underway during our visit. The beauty of this Smoky Mountains treasure comes alive with the scents of apple and pumpkin treats and the sight of the start of the fall foliage.
Our guided tour of Winchester takes us through the streets of this lovely town known as the Apple Capital of Virginia.
