This day trip truly offers a Taste of Lancaster -- and not just this region's delicious foods and baked goods. Join us on Friday, June 19 for an up-close and personal look at the charms of Amish Country -- from the farmlands to the artisans.

Sit back and relax as our guide from The Amish Experience leads a narrated tour through Pennsylvania Dutch country with stops at places like Forest Hill Leather, the Bird-In-Hand Bake Shop and the Misty Creek Goat Dairy.

There's time to explore Kitchen Kettle Village before we end the day with a family-style Amish dinner at the beautiful Inn at Leola Village.

9:30 a.m. - Guided tour of the Amish Farmlands

12:30-1:30 p.m. - Lunch on your own at Kitchen Kettle Village

2-5 p.m. - Amish Artisans tour

6:15 p.m. - Dinner at the Inn at Leola

CANCELLATIONS

  • All sales are final.

  • Refunds will not be issued for tours -- no exceptions.

  • Therefore, we recommend travel insurance which is now being offered through our partner, Trip Mate. You may use this link to get a quote or to purchase the insurance.

  • If it becomes necessary for Martz Travel to cancel a tour, you will receive a full refund with the option of receiving a refund in the form of a gift certificate that may be redeemed for a future Martz Tour.

 

PAYMENT

Payment in full is due at the time of booking for all day trips.

VENUE INFO

The Amish Experience led by a Lancaster area guide takes us through farmlands and to shops that represent this simple way of life and the locals' attention to workmanship and detail including:

  • Bird-in-Hand Bake Shop which houses a gift shop, baked goods, soft pretzels, ice cream and bulk and canned goods. This is destination and not just a stop and features locally made Amish crafts and a petting zoo.

  • Misty Creek Goat Dairy is known for its artisanal cheeses, all of which are made on locations from raw milk. You'll find other goat milk products including soaps and moisturizers.

  • Forest Hill Leather Craft is located on an Amish farmstead and is considered a hidden gem for those searching for leather goods -- from belts and wallets to purses and coasters.

MEALS

You are on your own for lunch at Kitchen Kettle Village where you'll find more than 40 unique shops and restaurants.

Our authentic family-style Amish dinner will be served at the beautiful Inn at Leola Village.

Menu includes artisan breads, chow chow, cole slaw, applesauce, Amish peanut

butter, salad, roast chicken with filling, baked ham with fruit sauce, sliced roast beef with gravy, whipped potatoes with gravy, creamed celery, succotash, mini whoopie pies, apple pie, shoofly pie and coffee, tea and iced tea.

The amount of walking on this tour is limited.
