All sales are final.
Refunds will not be issued for tours -- no exceptions.
Therefore, we recommend travel insurance which is now being offered through our partner, Trip Mate. You may use this link to get a quote or to purchase the insurance.
As a reminder, the 10-percent deposits on multi-day tours are non-refundable.
If it becomes necessary for Martz Travel to cancel a tour, the full price will be refunded. You have the option of receiving a refund in the form of a gift certificate that may be redeemed for a future Martz Tour.
ACCESSIBILITY
If you require special assistance getting on or off the bus, or if you are bringing a wheelchair or scooter, please make note of it in the Comments section when making your reservation.
WALKABILITY
There is quite a bit of walking involved in this tour. The bus will transport you to each venue and drop you off as close to the entrance as possible each time but there is walking involved in many of the tours.
HOTEL INFO
We will spend our first night at Homewood Suites by Hilton Wilmington Downtown which has a fitness center.
We will spend the next two nights at Hampton Inn & Suites Fredericksburg South where you can enjoy an indoor pool, fitness center and on-site restaurant.
As we head back toward home, we'll spend our fourth night at Hampton Inn & Suites Newtown which features an outdoor pool and fitness center.
You may request a room with two beds and we will pass it on to the hotels but since they are limited, we cannot guarantee that you will be assigned a room with two beds. Requests made after the rooming list has been submitted to the hotel (usually 4-6 weeks before the departure date) cannot be accommodated.
VENUE INFO
Our licensed Philadelphia guide will join us for a bus tour of the key points in historic Philadelphia including Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution were debated, adapted and signed; the Liberty Bell, the iconic symbol of our nation's independence; Elfreth's Alley, the oldest continuously inhabited residential street in America; Betsy Ross House, birthplace of the American flag, and Christ Church & Burial Grounds, once the home of worship for prominent historic figures.
The National Constitution Center serves as America’s leading platform for constitutional education and debate, bringing together people of all ages and perspectives to learn about, debate and celebrate the greatest vision of human freedom in history.
Gadsby's Tavern is not just a restaurant but a historic site in Alexandria, Va., which served as a center of political, social, and cultural life and was a destination for nearly all the founding fathers.
Two historic homes in the Fredericksburg area are the Historic Kenmore, a Georgian-style brick mansion built by George Washington's sister, Betty Washington Lewis and her husband, Fielding Lewis; and Mary Washington House, home of George Washington's mother.
The Virginia State Capitol is one of Thomas Jefferson's neo-classical marvels with its hidden dome and iconic statue of George Washington.
Built between 1730 and 1740, Tuckahoe Plantation is the boyhood home of Thomas Jefferson and represents one of the most complete early 18th-century plantation layouts in North America. On the grounds are exquisite gardens of flowers and herbs.
The Museum of the American Revolution is one of the nation's newer venues and houses an unmatched collection of Revolutionary-era weapons, personal items, documents and works of art. A highlight is Washington's war tent which is unveiled before your eyes in dramatic fashion in the museum's auditorium.
A must-see attraction in the Philadelphia area is the Valley Forge National Historical Park where Gen. Washington and his Continental Army stayed during the long, harsh winter of 1777-78. The park over more than 3,500 acres of rolling hills and is home to 20 miles of trails.

Breakfast will be served at the hotel on Days 2, 3, 4 & 5.
Lunch is included on Day 2 at Gadsby's Tavern and on Day 5 at a restaurant in the Valley Forge area to be named.

If you are asked to make a meal selection, orders placed after the deadline (usually two weeks to one month before the departure) may not be received.
BUS SEATING
While we try our best to accommodate all requests, we cannot guarantee you will be assigned the seat of your choice. If you have a preference, please make note of it in the Comments section when booking your trip. We are committed to meeting the specific health and mobility needs of our passengers.
